Riveting Rome Rodeo...
What an exhilarating night. It was my first time ever being at a rodeo, and sure enough, it would be to photograph the event for my hometown, Rome, GA! I even got to run the video cameras in the production booth for the instant replays! A lot of "first experiences" in one night. I think the most memorable thing about the evening was when the bulls came close to me. I remember how immensely large they are, and how much power they have, and how fast they moved. It was so foreign to me because every encounter I've had with bovine up to last night, involved them gently and slowly grazing in a field. So to see them flailing around at full power and speed, and at the size they are...that was shocking to me! Its pretty brave to willingly get on top of one of these beasts and see if you can hold on for 8 seconds and not get hurt...or worse! I hope you enjoy the pictures!
